About The Positivity Movement
Let’s Talk About The Why!
So many people especially neurodivergent grow up feeling “different,” misunderstood, and like they have to hide who they are to fit in. Parents are left without the right support, and families feel alone. The Positivity Movement exists to change that. It’s a neurodiversity and mental health movement offering mentoring, lived experience education and community, online and in person.
Because every person and family deserves to feel accepted, understood and supported, exactly as they are.
I created The Positivity Movement because...
I know what it’s like to grow up feeling “different” and misunderstood. Even as a little girl, I wondered why I felt so different. I had big feelings, I was super empathetic, and I didn’t feel like people really saw me. I masked, struggled with my mental health, and always knew there was more going on. Getting diagnosed with ADHD at 32 validated my whole journey. I realised I didn’t need to hide parts of myself. I could embrace what makes me, me. It was a beautiful realisation, and it helped me understand my own needs and strengths. Now it shapes how I parent. I’m a neuro-affirming mum to my two beautiful boys, because I know what it felt like to grow up the way I did.
I built The Positivity Movement from my own lived experience, as a neuro-affirming space for neurodiversity and mental health. It's about celebrating your strengths, not changing who you are. A community where every kind of mind, and the people who love them, feel seen and supported.

More of Felicity's Story...
Some of you may recognise me from Australian Survivor. But long before the island, I’d already spent most of my life learning how to survive.
Survivor stripped everything back. It pushed me to my emotional and physical limits and made me face fears I’d carried my whole life. It taught me that real confidence comes from connection and self-belief. Not from the confident mask I’d always felt I had to wear.
But my journey started long before Survivor…
As a young girl, I struggled with anxiety and a deep belief that I wasn’t enough. I developed an eating disorder young, and sport became how I coped. I did also experience some Trauma throughout my childhood in my younger and teenage years. Later, I turned to alcohol and substances to numb feelings I didn’t understand. Then At 19, I lost my grandma Joy, my safe and secure person. I fell into a deep depression and got through it very quietly, without the tools I really needed. No one knew how much I was struggling because I never spoke about it.
Eventually after one of the most challenging moments of my life- I saw a GP, and was supported with medication which supported me better for the few years I was on them. But it didn’t help me understand where my struggles were coming from, or why I kept numbing them.

The Diagnosis That Changed Everything
In my mid 20s, I started to heal. I built healthier coping tools and stopped falling back into old habits. I studied mental health and began supporting others through their own struggles. Having been there myself, I could hold real space and empathy for every person I worked with.
In my early 30s, I studied counselling. Then, after having my second baby and while sleep deprived and in burnout- I was finally diagnosed with ADHD. It changed how I saw my whole past. The anxiety, the overwhelm, the big emotions, the trouble focusing. That was a little girl who didn’t have the support or understanding she needed.
Like so many women, I slipped through the cracks. ADHD often looks different in girls, and it hides behind perfectionism and people-pleasing. So for years, I believed something was wrong with me.
"My diagnosis lit a fire in me. It wasn't a label to box me in. It was the answer to why life had always felt like such an uphill battle. Now my purpose is simple: no one should feel as alone or misunderstood as I did.
Felicity
I then saw how much early support and understanding matter, for kids and for adults.
So many neurodivergent people struggle with their mental health, especially without the right support. And those struggles don’t disappear just because we look “fine.” What matters is having the right tools, support and community, without shame. And learning to love ourselves as we are, not as others expect us to be.
Motherhood & The Movement
Becoming a mum to my two boys made my passion even BIGGER.
Going through burnout as a neurodivergent mum showed me how much real, kind support matters. It made me passionate about helping families understand their kids’ unique strengths, so no child feels they have to hide or change to fit in. I’ve advocated for my boys and made sure they have the right support around them. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m grateful for every bit of it.
I understand this from both sides now: as the undiagnosed little girl I once was, and as a mum.
That’s what brought The Positivity Movement to life. A space where you, and the people you love, feel seen and safe to be exactly who you are.
My approach to support
Lived experience
I don’t just know the theory. I live it. I know the weight of the mental load, and how hard “simple” advice can be to actually do.
Strengths Based
We start with what’s already working. Your strengths are the foundation, not an afterthought.
Practical and real
Small, doable tools that fit your real life, your energy and your capacity. No perfection needed.
Neuro-Affirming
I don’t try to change who you are. I help you to understand and work with how your brain works.
