Thank you for choosing mentoring with The Positivity Movement.
This Mentoring Agreement outlines the relationship between you and The Positivity Movement and explains the nature of the mentoring services provided, expectations, boundaries, payments, cancellations, privacy, and responsibilities.
By booking mentoring services, participating in a group session, or joining a mentoring program with The Positivity Movement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this agreement.
1. About The Positivity Movement Mentoring
The Positivity Movement provides neuroaffirming mentoring, education, and support focused on self-understanding, connection, personal growth, and exploring practical strategies that support everyday wellbeing.
Mentoring may include:
Self-understanding and reflection
Exploring personal experiences and identity
Recognising strengths, challenges, and individual needs
Exploring neurodivergent experiences
Sharing lived-experience perspectives
Identifying practical tools and strategies
Encouragement, accountability, and goal setting
Building confidence, self-acceptance, and self-awareness
The Positivity Movement’s approach is informed by:
Lived experience of neurodivergence, parenting, and navigating personal wellbeing
Years of experience supporting individuals and families through community and support-based roles
Ongoing education and study in counselling and mental health-related areas
Neuroaffirming values and a strengths-based approach
Mentoring provides a supportive space for reflection, connection, learning, and personal development.
2. Mentoring Is Not Therapy or Professional Advice
You acknowledge and understand that mentoring with The Positivity Movement is not:
Psychological therapy
Counselling
Medical advice
Diagnosis or assessment
Clinical treatment
Crisis support
A replacement for professional healthcare or therapeutic services
The Positivity Movement does not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical recommendations.
Information shared during mentoring is based on lived experience, education, personal perspectives, and general supportive strategies.
If you require assessment, diagnosis, treatment, clinical support, or crisis assistance, you should seek support from an appropriately qualified professional or service.
3. Mentoring Services Provided
Mentoring may be offered in different formats, including:
Individual Mentoring Sessions
One-on-one mentoring sessions may include:
Personal reflection and discussion
Exploring goals and values
Understanding personal experiences
Identifying strengths and challenges
Exploring practical strategies
Sharing resources and educational information
Encouragement and accountability
Group Mentoring Sessions
Group mentoring sessions provide a supportive space where participants can:
Learn alongside others with shared experiences
Reflect on personal experiences
Participate in discussions and activities
Share insights where they feel comfortable
Explore neuroaffirming tools and strategies
Participants are encouraged to respect the privacy, experiences, and boundaries of others within the group.
Group mentoring is not individualised therapy or clinical support, and participants remain responsible for their own choices and wellbeing.
Workshops, Programs & Community Sessions
The Positivity Movement may also provide educational workshops, courses, programs, or community-based sessions.
These may include:
Educational content
Reflection activities
Practical tools
Group discussions
Personal development activities
Participation does not create a professional healthcare relationship between you and The Positivity Movement.
4. No Guarantee of Outcomes
The Positivity Movement provides mentoring, education, reflection, and supportive tools.
Everyone’s experiences, circumstances, goals, and engagement are different.
While mentoring may support awareness, confidence, connection, and personal growth, The Positivity Movement does not guarantee any specific outcome, transformation, result, or improvement.
You remain responsible for your own decisions, choices, actions, and wellbeing.
5. Your Responsibilities
By participating in mentoring, you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for your own choices and decisions.
You will use your own judgement when applying ideas, strategies, or information discussed.
You understand that what is helpful for one person may not be suitable for another.
You will communicate honestly and respectfully.
You will respect the privacy and experiences of other participants during group sessions.
You will seek appropriate professional support where required.
6. In Person Mentoring Sessions
Where in-person mentoring sessions are offered, sessions may occur in outdoor, community, or public environments.
By participating in an in-person mentoring session, including walk-and-talk sessions, you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for your own safety, wellbeing, and personal choices.
You should consider your own physical ability, comfort level, and personal needs before participating.
Outdoor environments may involve risks including uneven surfaces, weather conditions, traffic, public spaces, animals, or unexpected circumstances.
You are responsible for appropriate clothing, footwear, hydration, and any personal items required.
To the extent permitted by law, The Positivity Movement is not responsible for injury, loss, or harm arising from circumstances outside of reasonable control.
This does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
7. Payments
Payment is required before mentoring services commence unless another arrangement has been agreed upon.
Fees will be clearly communicated before booking.
By purchasing mentoring services, programs, workshops, or group sessions, you agree to the applicable fees and payment terms.
8. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Appointments and group spaces are reserved specifically for participants.
If you need to cancel or reschedule:
48 hours or more notice: sessions may be moved to another available appointment time where possible.
24–48 hours notice: a cancellation fee of up to 50% may apply.
Less than 24 hours notice or failure to attend: the full session fee may apply.
For group programs, workshops, or events, cancellation and refund terms will be outlined at the time of purchase.
Unexpected circumstances may be considered at the discretion of The Positivity Movement.
If The Positivity Movement needs to cancel or reschedule, reasonable alternative arrangements will be considered.
This policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Privacy & Confidentiality
The Positivity Movement respects your privacy and handles personal information with care.
Information shared during mentoring sessions will be treated respectfully and used for the purpose of providing mentoring and support services.
For group sessions, participants are expected to respect confidentiality and not share another participant’s personal information, stories, or experiences outside the group.
Confidentiality may have limitations where disclosure is required by law or where there are serious concerns regarding safety.
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how information is collected, stored, and managed.
10. Communication Boundaries
Mentoring sessions occur during agreed appointment times.
Mentoring does not include unlimited access, ongoing messaging support, or emergency assistance unless specifically included in a service package.
The Positivity Movement is not a crisis support service.
If you require immediate assistance, please contact an appropriate emergency or crisis support service.
11. Resources & Intellectual Property
Any resources, worksheets, guides, materials, recordings, or educational content provided by The Positivity Movement remain the intellectual property of The Positivity Movement.
Resources are provided for personal use only.
You agree not to:
Copy or reproduce resources
Share materials with others
Sell or distribute content
Use materials commercially without written permission
12. Respectful Mentoring Relationship
The mentoring relationship is based on mutual respect, safety, inclusion, and understanding.
You agree to communicate respectfully and contribute to a supportive environment.
The Positivity Movement reserves the right to pause or end mentoring services where appropriate, including situations involving:
Unsafe behaviour
Disrespectful communication
Repeated boundary violations
Behaviour that impacts the safety or wellbeing of others
Situations where mentoring is no longer suitable
13. Acceptance of Agreement
By booking mentoring, joining a group session, attending a workshop, or participating in a program with The Positivity Movement, you confirm that:
☐ You understand mentoring is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, medical advice, or clinical treatment.
☐ You understand The Positivity Movement provides lived-experience mentoring, education, and supportive reflection.
☐ You understand outcomes are individual and no specific results are guaranteed.
☐ You agree to the payment, cancellation, privacy, and participation terms outlined in this agreement.
☐ You agree to respect the privacy, safety, and experiences of other participants during group sessions.
☐ If participating in an in-person session, you understand the additional considerations and responsibilities involved.
